Haus des Meeres stair run 2024
It’s time to lace up those running shoes again!
For the first time since 2019, Haus des Meeres is hosting a stair run. Towerrunning Austria invites you to scale the heights of the newly reconfigured tower. You’ll climb the interior south stairwell, past all the animal attractions, up 11 floors to the finish line on the rooftop of the Haus des Meers. Covering 269 steps, this sprint is quite the challenge!
Runners will be rewarded with a unique view of Vienna’s city center, as well as refreshments and prizes – all 50 m above street level.
The Haus des Meeres and Towerrunning Austria are proud to present this unique running event again. A portion of the entry fee will be donated to the non-profit PH Austria – Lung Hypertension Initiative.

Entry fee: €30, includes entry to Haus des Meeres (€21,90€) and a €1 donation to PH Austria – Lung Hypertension Initiative
Reduced entry fee: €20 for HDM employees, TRA members, TWA members, AC employees
Race number distribution/payment/post-registration: starting at 3:00 p.m. at the small tent to the left of the main entrance
Timekeeping: Buzzer
Start interval: set start list according to start number, individual start, max. 80 starters
Payment: on-site in CASH
The registration is closed, but late registrations are still possible on-site from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
